Me and Tyler were going on a weekend getaway to Hot Springs, AR for my birthday! Little did I know, Tyler had a little more planned. We left early Friday morning, and almost the ENTIRE trip there, Tyler teased me by changing song lyrics to say “I’ll marry you in a year or two, maybe three.” Which was no different than normal for him to tease me, it’s one of his favorite things to do. Once we got to the cottage, we grabbed dinner and spent the evening relaxing and watching movies. The next morning, it was sort of a gloomy day, but we decided to make the most of it and head to the horse races. We stayed a little while, lost some money, ate lunch and headed on back to the cottage. The sun had finally came out and I had begged Tyler to let us go feed the ducks down by the lake. He told me, “let’s just hang out up here on the deck for a bit, we’ll go feed the ducks later.” I pouted for a bit, begged a little more and finally went in to change shoes, and Tyler quickly followed behind me to ask if I was changing clothes or just shoes. I answered with just shoes and followed him back outside on the deck. I stood by the railing looking out at the lake for a few minutes when Tyler came up behind me and started telling me some of the sweetest things. In the back of my mind I couldn’t help but think, “What is he up to?” A few minutes passed and Tyler went back into the cottage to grab us a drink, so I thought.....before I knew it Tyler grabbed my hip, turned me around, got down on one knee and very emotionally asked me to marry him. I didnt even let him finish before I started crying and “YES!!!” came barelling out of my mouth. I gave Tyler the hardest time proposing to me because all I was focused on was going to feed the silly ducks. I knew from the moment I met Tyler that he was the love of my life and I knew I would marry him some day. April 27, 2019 will always be one of the happiest days of our lives and Hot Springs will always be a special place in our heart.
