Daniel and Tanisha met while attending the same school, Indian River High School, in Chesapeake Virginia. Once the two were introduced on the first day of school in 2009, a friendship developed and grew stronger over the years. Maturing from kids to adults has been a journey that they couldn’t imagine doing with anyone else.

As Tanisha attempted to plan a birthday extravaganza for Daniel, little did she know, she planned a trip that she would remember for the rest of her life. Long story short— everyone gathered around a 65-foot tall Christmas tree in the heart of National Harbor, Maryland to take a group photo before heading out to hit the town. Before anyone could strike a pose, Daniel was down on 1 knee and tears were streaming down Tanisha’s face while Daniel asked her “To be his forever” Now, we are #ReadyToRudis and can’t wait to celebrate our love with all of our family and friends by our side!
