Music has always been a big part of our relationship, so it's only natural that we met at a concert at UMass back in 2012. We were both getting ready with our friends in separate rooms of the dorm, but we all decided to walk over to the venue together. It was in this small moment, combined with spotting each other on the dance floor, that led us to chat after the concert about all the music genres we both love. Thank you UMass and thank you Rusko!

We met at 19 and have grown into adults together over the past decade. Our years at UMass gave us great friends and memories, and since then we have started a life in NYC together. Over the years, we have built a student group and formed a band, traveled the world and seen all of the concerts we could. We've really leaned into all the things we both love to do. Here's to the next chapter!

Paul had this grand plan to propose at UMass where it all began eight years ago and have both of our parents surprise us. Then a pandemic hit so he came up with a "Plan B". We were visiting my parents in Massachusetts at the time and he suggested a picnic at Plum Island beach where we frequently visited throughout the years. It was early in the pandemic timeline when sitting on the beach was still allowed, but there was hardly anyone else there. To me, it was perfect. Just the two of us. We were sitting on the beach when suddenly he turned to me and asked, "Are you ready?" I started crying right then. Paul got down on one knee and I blacked out from excitement from there.
