Question

Wedding Day Travel Directions

Answer

When you first arrive on camp grounds, there will be a guard shack and gate to enter the property. The guard shack will NOT be manned, and the code to open the gate is "#1005". Once entering the gate, you will follow the gravel drive for approximately 3.5-4 miles. You will eventually drive over a gravel causeway at the lake, and then make a left into a gravel parking lot. There will be signs and/or cones directing you of where to park your vehicle. The ceremony and reception are all within walking distance, and there will be a staff member to shuttle guests who may have difficulty walking.

Question

Can I bring a guest/date?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one, they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding and please feel free to reach out with any questions!

Question

When do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by September 1st using the RSVP tab in the menu. If you do not RSVP in time, we will assume that you are unable to attend.

Question

Is there lodging available?

Answer

Due to a women's retreat being held at camp the same weekend as the wedding, the only lodging available on camp grounds is for immediate family and the wedding party. We understand that this may cause an inconvenience for some guests due to the travel distance. Because of this issue, we have listed some suggested lodging options in the "Travel" section of the website.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 4:30pm. Please arrive at the front gate at least 30 minutes prior to the ceremony to allow time for the 3-4 mile drive through camp, parking, and finding your seat.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We are having an unplugged ceremony, meaning that once the ceremony begins, we ask that all phones be put away and silenced. We want everyone to be fully present with us, and for our photographer to be able to capture the best pictures which we will share with you. Once the ceremony is over, feel free to take as many pictures as you'd like... and don't forget to share them with us!

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, the ceremony will be outdoors. The reception will be indoors.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

There will not be an open bar, as Eagle Sky is a Christian-based camp. Due to this, no alcohol will be allowed.
