Depending on who you ask you will probably get two different beginnings of our story but we both know it was all God. Let me (Cassie) set the record straight...it was not a sale on Ebay. Insert eyeroll here HAHA! I'm sure most people will say they love their story and I can say the same thing. I LOVE our story! We met on Eharmony.com, April 24th, 2019. I had matched with him over a month before we started to have conversations and I had sent him a smiley face emoji as a way to "break the ice" and if he was interested that he would send one back.....well that didn't happen. Usually I just move on but I kept coming back to his profile so then I decided to send him a computer generated question "when going out to eat, what type of restaurant do you prefer?" to my surprise he responded! Woohoo! From that point we regularly sent messages back and forth online. Early May I had been chatting online with my friend Tara about the upcoming MS Walk in Fort Wayne. I was gathering information because I wanted to walk in remembrance of my Aunt who had battled MS. Tara was telling me about her son's teacher who has MS and they have participated every year since his diagnosis. I told her I wanted to participate and she sent me the link for the team she was on. I quickly joined Brians_Battle and was super excited. Note that I did not know the person I was chatting online with had MS, I only knew very basic information. Brian and I were chatting online about our plans for the upcoming weekend and I shared that I joined my first MS Walk and how excited I was. He responds "I know, I got a confirmation email". (he thought I was a stalker HAHA!) I quickly respond with "You did? You are the Brian that Tara was telling me about?" A couple of messages after that exchange he asked me out on our first date. We met face to face on May 11th, 2019. Come to find out we had so many mutual friends and had never met. We both know God put us together in His perfect timing.
