So romantic, I know, but we met at a bar (Leftwoods) located in Amarillo, Texas. I was having a discussion with my roommate at the time, not remembering what exactly the discussion was about. I said, "you can ask any guy in here", pointing my finger across the bar where Danny and I locked eyes. Super mortified, I then walked over to him to try and explain as to why I was pointing at him from across the bar. We talked the rest of the night and exchanged phone numbers. The rest is history...

Danny arranged dinner plans at a high end hotel/restaurant (Hotel Vin) off of Main St. in Grapevine. After having dinner and dessert we went up to the roof top bar that overlooked historic Grapevine. Under the stars we were surrounded by firepits with music playing, so romantic! Danny got down on one knee and popped the question. Hard to believe, but I was completely speechless only nodding my head up and down. I then shrieked Yes!!! Yes!!! while wiping away happy tears. I could not believe it, it was perfect! The servers watching from a distance then brought us champagne for a special toast! After calling close family and friends, I remember being asked by my mom how much I had to drink because I was so giddy. Andy (Danny's oldest brother) and girlfriend, Susie also shared this magical moment with us, capturing photos/videos to cherish for a lifetime. Fun fact: Danny had asked my parents 6 months prior, to which my mom (Linda) said we need to remember this date. Turns out it was on April 3, 2021.
