It all started on an unusually chilly night in September at a go kart track in Braselton. My friends and I heard about this place that raced old Andretti go-karts and thought it would be fun to check it out. All I could think about was " I wanna go fast" from Ricky Bobby. I am standing there with one of my friends and I see this nice blue Ford truck pull up and this tall, dark, and extremely handsome guy get out and walk over to pay for his rounds on the track. I nudge her and all I could do was stare. He walked right past me to meet up with his friend and they chatted for a while until it was time to get on the track. The whole time we were racing he kept trying to bump me and spin me out. I called it flirting, but I digress. After the first race was over, my friends and I were standing there talking about everything that happened during the race, and that tall, dark, and handsome guy starts walking towards us. Now, I never get nervous, but I honestly couldn't speak. He asked if we were staying and we told him no, we had to get back home. He commented about bumping me and spinning me out, and the only words I could get to come out of my mouth were, if you're going to ride my a**, at least pull my hair. He laughed, we said goodbye and I thought I would never see him again. Well, after some looking on facebook and me sliding into the dm's, we went out on our first date the next day. Fast forward two years later and here we are. A new house, baby, and for me, a new last name coming soon!!!
Casey and I both knew that we wanted to get married by our first date. Cliché as it may be I fell in love at first site. It just so happened that we were antique shopping one day in Jefferson and stumbled upon this beautiful wedding venue. We walked in, being our nosey selves, and asked how much everything cost and if we could look around for a minute. We fell in love and we couldn't pass the opportunity. We walked out that day before there was a ring on my finger and had a venue and a wedding date. Fast forward a year and a baby later, and he proposes in the back yard of my parent's house with all of the kids holding up signs that say, Will You Marry Daddy, and he had my parents and best friends there. It was intimate and perfect. He knew exactly what I wanted and I didn't have to say it, and of course I said YES!
