Shasta Weddings! This is a unique and remote Northern California venue surrounded by mountain views and pine forests. It is located in Castle Crags State Park outside of the small towns of Castella and Dunsmuir. The closest accommodations outside of the venue are 35 minutes away, which is why we encourage all guests to stay with us on the property.
Please RSVP as soon as you can, but no later than May 10th, 2026. We need a final head count for planning purposes.
The property has several cabins which are reserved for direct family and the bridal party, as well as plenty of flat space for tent camping/glamping and RVs, campers, and vans. The property has multiple toilets and plumbed outhouses for campers, as well as ~8 fully plumbed outdoor showers and a large get-ready/dressing room with plenty of mirrors and outlets. Several cabins have indoor plumbed showers, and can be shared with campers who are wanting a bit more privacy. We strongly encourage guests who are willing to glamp, whether in a tent or RV, to join us on the property for the whole weekend to make the most of our time together. It may not be your typical wedding weekend, but we promise you'll have fun! Please note, the venue charges a flat fee of $50 per person for anyone staying in the cabins or tent/RV camping. Payment will be collected by the venue hosts.
Castle Crags State Park, the stunning setting for our weekend celebration, is known for its magnificent, glacier-polished granite spires that soar dramatically above the forest. The park provides tons of activities, including 28 miles of hiking trails ranging from leisurely strolls to challenging ascents, with a segment of the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) winding through the park itself. The scenic Sacramento River also flows through the area, with fishing spots and swimming holes down the road from the venue. Beyond the state park, we encourage you to join a morning yoga session on the lawn on Saturday, take advantage of the beautiful views for both road and mountain biking, or do some target shooting in the nearby woods.
We are planning our wedding to be small and intimate. We only invited our family and close friends or else we would have loved to include your date <3. Thank you for understanding. We can’t wait to see you at the wedding!
Despite our venue being in the woods, we do ask that everyone come dressed in their formal attire. Much of the venue is paved, but the ceremony will be in a grassy clearing so ladies may want to leave the stilettos at home!
