Landon and Jamie will be eloping in Asheville, NC and then having a micro wedding with their immediate family. It all started in a tiny apartment in Uptown, Minneapolis on July 25, 2020. Jamie was nursing a hangover from the previous night, bothered that her roommate was having friends over, but thankfully, the FOMO (fear of missing out) got the best of her - Jamie was not dressed up, wearing zero makeup, and not even wearing a bra. She headed up to the apartment's rooftop to hang with her roommate and a few of her roommate's friends. They were all talking, enjoying the nice weather, when a guy walks onto the rooftop and sits down near Jamie. Landon introduces himself to Jamie, and they immediately hit it off as they were both working at start up health insurance companies at the time. After talking about work, they connected on LinkedIn (crucial to their story later). They spent the next several hours talking and basically ignoring the rest of the group. They played SORRY!, discovered they had the same favorite artist - Quinn XCII, talked about tattoos, their love of the outdoors, and brain tumors. The night was incredibly PG and just about perfect. One missing thing - Landon didn't get Jamie's number. A couple days later, Landon was on a run with his sister, Kaitlin, and her boyfriend, Gabe. Landon told them all about this amazing girl he had met and was realizing he wanted to get to know her, but didn't have her number. Landon remembered they had connected on LinkedIn (a professional networking website). Kaitlin and Gabe encouraged Landon to reach out to Jamie there. They knew it wasn't the intended use of the website, but it was a way to reach Jamie and re-connect over something they talked about when they first met. He slid into Jamie's DMs (direct message) and they were inseparable after that. The next few weeks were filled with fun dates, deep conversation, and getting to know each other. Jamie even had Landon take the Enneagram personality test on their first date to learn more about his personality type. (Jamie is slightly embarrassed at this now but she was super into it back then - haha). Just a few months after meeting, Jamie pitched Landon an idea (little did Landon know, he'd be receiving these "pitches" for the rest of this life) - a road trip to the west coast, while they continued to work remotely. That trip covering multiple states, tons of hikes, and ended with a visit to Denver to visit Kaitlin and Gabe. A four month road trip wasn't enough for Jamie and they continued to take multiple trips across the US and a few international trips, as well. Another cross country road trip brought them to central/eastern side of the US where they landed in Asheville, NC and fell in love with the city. Through all these travels, their relationship grew stronger and they both connected over their value of travel and adventure. After about 2 years of travels, they decided they loved being close to their family and friends and bought their townhouse in Minnetonka, but continued to take shorter trips. Some of their favorites - Ireland, Scotland, Ontario, Niagara Falls, Florida trips with Jamie's family, Asheville, and San Diego.

Four years after they meet, on a Saturday morning in August, Landon ties a ribbon with a ring attached to Rosie's collar, and gets on one knee to ask Jamie to spend their lives together. Adventure partners for life - Jamie said yes! Landon and Jamie are SO excited for you to join them on their special day :)
