Brookfield Zoo
Brookfield Zoo is a world-renowned zoo, which happens to be a 5-minute drive from our home. Rea will have access to free parking passes and general admission for anyone interested in a visit during your stay.
The Morton Arboretum
The Arborteum is a local hidden gem in the Chicagoland area. We love getting out here for a hike or a visit to the Children's garden. The Arboretum is about a 20 minute drive from the La Grange/Oak Brook area. Spent an hour or three enjoying nature, the fall colors and much more!
The Children's Farm at The Center
The Farm has become a favorite for our family. Owen has attended summer camp here two years in a row. Rea and Owen are now regular volunteers at the Farm. This weekend, the farm is open for a fun fall festival Friday - Sunday from 10am - 4pm.
Blackberry Market
If you need a bite to eat, our first recommendation is always Blackberry Market. They have wonderful breakfast, brunch, and lunch options and great coffee and treats all day long.
Fullersburg Woods Nature Education Center
Fullersburg is a great place for a hike or a walk on easy crushed gravel walking paths. Follow the river or venture a little further into the trails with many great options to get some fresh air and a little exercise. A favorite hiking and running venue for us, you will enjoy wonderful fall colors and a small nature center for kids to check out.
Downtown La Grange
We love downtown La Grange! Whether we need coffee, groceries, a convenience store, or fabulous boutiques, this is our first stop. There is no shortage of great restaurants and fun things to see and do here in downtown La Grange.
