8:30 pm - 11:30 pm
Come as you are
We plan to kick off our wedding weekend with some good old fashioned karaoke. All are welcome. This is a historic karaoke bar in the U.S.! It's a bit small, but a great environment full of karaoke lovers! We plan to get there around 8:30pm, but karaoke doesn't begin until 9:30pm. They stop serving food at 9pm, but Bush Gardens is located in the heart of the International District where a plethora of delicious options abound.
7:00 pm - 9:30 pm
Dress festively! We'll call this Seattle casual cocktail attire, meaning if it tickles your fancy to dress up a bit then go for it, but jeans and dress shirt or a casual dress or skirt will be just fine! BUT bring your dancing shoes!
All are invited (kiddos too!) to join us for a festive evening of celebration as we gather for food, drinks, and dancing. We'll be providing appetizers, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages! We'll also have a live band and a caller joining us for some good old fashioned contra dancing (think square dancing but more circles)! You don't need to know how to contra dance as the caller will teach us all basic steps and instruct us throughout the time. It's going to be an absolute delight! There will also be space to just sit and chat, so don't feel pressure if dancing is just not your thing. We're very much looking forward to this festive evening with family and friends! Parking: There is no free parking in the vicinity of the school, but street parking is available and is only paid parking until 8pm, so if you're planning to drive that will be your cheapest option.
5:00 pm - 11:00 pm
Cocktail Attire
We know it's a Sunday, but we're planning to celebrate through ritual, feasting, music, and dancing until 11pm and invite you to join us! This is an indoor venue and the ceremony and reception will be held in the same space. Plenty of parking is available at the venue, but we also recommend hopping in a taxi, uber, or lyft. UPDATE: There is a Seahawk's game on Sunday, October 20th with kick off at 1:25pm. The venue is just south of the stadium and so you'll want to plan accordingly, especially if you are coming from north of the stadiums. Seattle traffic is no joke. We'd recommend on planning to get south of the stadiums by 4pm as the venue will be open to guests at 4:30pm. Ghostfish Brewery is nearby and is open from 12-8pm. There's also a Starbucks and Macrina Bakery half a mile away on 1st that will be open in the afternoon on the 20th if you want to come down a bit early and need a place to get some coffee or tea.
