We met in 2017 during our sophomore year at Notre Dame, shortly after Dillon transferred to ND from Santa Clara. Our relationship started as a friendship. During our college years, we spent time together at tailgates, parties, and on campus in between classes. It wasn't until senior year that we started dating. In classic Notre Dame fashion, Dillon asked me to be his girlfriend following a major Notre Dame football victory. After graduation, Dillon was working in New York City and I was attending law school in Chicago, so our relationship was marked by long distance visits back and forth between the two cities. The visits were always the highlight of each month. Sometimes our flights were booked far in advance, but other times our visits were spur of the moment, with flights booked the same day as departure. It was not always easy to manage the distance between us, but we never gave up. Now, we look back on those years with gratitude because the time living in different cities taught us to cherish every moment—big or small—with one another. Life is short and it is such a gift to spend it with your best friend. Our relationship continued to grow stronger and I graduated from law school in 2024 and—FINALLY!—moved to New York City to join Dillon. This July, Dillon planned a picture perfect proposal in Central Park complete with a champagne toast, a professional photographer, a beautiful meal at the Central Park Boathouse, and a celebration with our dearest friends and family at a local Upper East Side watering hole. The whole day was filled with profound joy, laughter, excitement, and most importantly, both of our families were there to share the moment with us. We now live on the Upper East Side and are loving this next chapter of our lives. We spend our weekends exploring the city, going for long walks, trying new restaurants, sometimes heading down the Jersey Shore, and going on trips to new places with family. We’ve enjoyed travelling and have been to Ireland multiple times, Portugal, Spain, Antigua, and so many places in between. We couldn’t be more thankful for our journey and are so excited for what's to come! We are immensely grateful for the incredible support we have received over the years from our parents, siblings, extended family members, and lifelong friends. We can't wait to celebrate our wedding with you all!
