We met as coworkers at The Wilds in Cumberland, OH. Both of us had been working as horseback tour guides for the summer. I immediately thought William was cute but didn't think much of it, until one day while on tour with guests he nonchalantly mentioned that he was newly single (later he told me this was on purpose!). I gave him my number later that day "in case we ever needed to switch shifts" and the rest is history! We went on our first date about a week later and it was the best first date both of us have ever had. We knew pretty quickly that this could be something pretty special!

Our proposal was a long time in the works! After a graduation get together, I caught William asking my dad for his blessing in my parents' kitchen. After that I was expecting the proposal on every date we planned: kayaking, a Charlie Daniels Concert, etc. The proposal still caught me by surprise on a Sunday afternoon when we were fishing in the pond. I was lounging in a lawn chair and I heard him say "I'm just going to try one more lure" and reach into his tackle box and when I looked up he was on one knee! I was so shocked I don't even remember what his exact words were, but I managed to say "Yes!" and the rest is history. We are so excited to start our forever together!
