We met on the campus of Winston-Salem State University we’re we both attended college. Little did we know that our spouse was literally two room doors away from one another in a co-ed dorm by the name of Wilson. Rayven would practice her dance routines in the shared lobby since she was part of the school dance team.Kadeem would also meet up in the lobby along with his friends. It soon became routine for Rayven and Kadeem to see one another in the lobby. They pulled all-nighters and indulged in deep conversations. It was the start to a beautiful romance.
We had a couple’s photoshoot planned for a couple of weeks and the day came for us to take our pictures. Kadeem thought that the Botanical Gardens would be a nice photo location. After taking pictures around different areas of the garden we ended up at the last area to take our photos in front of a waterfall. While posing in front of the waterfall thinking pictures were being taken little did Rayven know that Kadeem was prepping for the biggest question of their lives. Rayven was then advised by the photographer to turn around and at that point she noticed Kadeem getting down on one knee and she instantly knew their lives were about to change forever. Kadeem read a romantic poem and ended with the infamous question “will you marry me? “Of course Rayven said “yes!“
