We're Making it Official

First there was friendship. They met in 2009, she was taken and he was respectfully interested. They would see each other on and off for the next few years through mutual relationships. However, there were a few signs he left her to ensure his interest didn't go unknown. A graze of the hand, a comment made, or the way he stood up for her when no one else made a peep. An unspoken connection. Fast forward to late 2015, he was living in California for a few years, and she was attending college in Idaho. They hadn't seen eachother for a few years since his move, and she had finally been single. During his visit to Idaho, he mustered the courage to ask her out on a date that started quite nervously. By the end of the date, the comfort between them already started to grow and as the night came to a close, he walked her to her door, and to her delight, they shared their first kiss. Over the next year and a half they endured a long distance relationship, as his job took him all over the country, they would watch movies and talk through Skype every day, always looking forward to their next reunion, and counting the days till they could be together. Finally, after a year and a half of long distance she decided to take the leap and travel with him across the country and they have been inseparable since.

Before it began, it was 2010 and they were having a night in with their mutual friend groups during Cam's senior year of high school. As the night went on, the groups convened near the entry stairwell of the house. The party chatted comfortably and Cam had gazed upon a light illuminating the 3rd step of the staircase. He had yet to see such a light and in his response to this, a comment fell out of his mouth as easy as the truth. "Look at that face, so angelic." Liz sat upon that 3rd step and as the comment settled, they both felt something spark between them. Years continue on and their daily lives grew apart as Cam travels and Liz focuses on her studies. As Cam returned to Idaho in the winter of 2015, they get back into touch and spend the next 5 years in a beautiful relationship that takes them all over the country together. In 2020 Cam decided it was time to take the next step in their relationship, Like many others, they have a Thanksgiving with their closest friends they call, Friendsgiving. Understanding the strength they hold for family and friendships, they wanted to ensure (as much as they could during a pandemic) most of their favorite people could be around to witness a day in which they made a 10-year spark turn into the rest of their lives. He took her hand, and this is where her mind turns black for the next 2 minutes. "You are all very important to me, but there is one person that is my most important." He grabs Liz's hand and pulls her in front of the room where the entire party was gathered. "Liz, I've been looking forward to this moment my whole life. Will you make me the happiest man and marry me?" Still in a state of shock, she finds her answer, "Um, yes!" He took his winnings, hugged her off the ground and kissed her as they spun in circles that propelled them into the next chapter of their lives.
