Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Each event will have its own dress code. Please see the "Schedule" tab for this info.

Question

Where can I purchase Indian outfits?

Answer

If you are looking to purchase Indian clothes for the wedding events, there are plenty of online stores that ship to the US! We recommend placing orders a few months early as it can often take several months to ship and some clothes may require alterations. If you need help deciding what to get, reach out to us directly! Here are a few website options: https://www.kalkifashion.com/ https://www.lashkaraa.com/ https://www.mirraw.com/ p.s. If you're coming to Delhi a day or two early, you could also pick-up your outfits there directly! Note: this is a lot easier for men's outfits (which are more standardized) than women's.

Question

Do I need a visa to travel to India?

Answer

US Citizens will need to apply for an e-Visa (see link on "Travel" tab) to enter India. Please apply for your e-visa at least 1 week before your travel date. Note: your PASSPORT must be valid for at least 6 MONTHS from your travel date. If you have any questions, please contact Nikunj.

Question

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

We are truly so grateful for everyone who is traveling all the way to India to celebrate with us! That is the greatest gift we could possibly ask for - we kindly request no gifts beyond your presence & well wishes!

Question

Where should we travel before/after the wedding while we're in India?

Answer

India is a diverse country with so much to see and tons to offer! If you'll be in India for 1 week, we suggest selecting 1-2 places based on your style of travel. First-timers to India tend to visit the "Golden Triangle" of Delhi, Jaipur, and Agra. It's great for history & culture buffs - you can visit palaces & forts, learn about the history of various empires in India, and of course see the Taj Mahal. This is by far the most "on the beaten path" option - there will be plenty of organized tours and easily accessible by car/bus/flight. For more nature, we recommend visiting hill stations in India, such as Manali, Dharamshala, or Munnar. Kerala backwaters are also beautiful for lush greenery. And Goa is a popular pick for a beach vacation! India has so much incredible food varieties all over the country - Delhi, Mumbai, Amritsar (home of the Golden Temple), and Lucknow are well-known "food capitals". These are just a few of our recommendations. Please reach out to us directly if you have specific questions about crafting an itinerary tailored for you!

Question

What’s the best way to get around Delhi (outside of wedding events)?

Answer

We’ll provide transportation to & from the hotel and our event venues. Outside of that, Uber is a convenient, inexpensive, and safe option to get around the city. Please let us know if you have any concerns or would like help arranging for private transportation.
