Raymond and Sally both went to UC Davis and met during their second year of college (2012) when some mutual friends were hanging out. A couple of months later, Raymond joined the same community service organization Sally was in. After going on a group camping trip, Raymond and Sally started talking over Facebook Messenger... pretty sure Raymond messaged Sally first :)

Originally, Raymond wanted to propose in November 2018 during their Thailand trip. However as they were planning for their Hawaii trip with a bunch of their friends, he decided to wait instead. On January 26 2019, Sally and Raymond hiked up Diamond Head Trail. At the top of the viewpoint, Raymond told Sally to look out to the water and then got down on one knee...

We went forward with having a micro wedding on this date. We were surrounded by our closest family and friends who witnessed the vows we said to one another. We can't wait to celebrate with all our friends and family at our reception!
