We’ve only had our sweet Duney Booney for only a year, yet it feels like he’s been part of our lives forever. He completed our little family in ways we didn’t even know we needed. Knowing that we get to give him the love he didn’t have early on fills our hearts with wholeness. Getting to have us all be Kitchens makes it complete.

Our sweet girl has been part of our lives for over 4 years now. She was there for us since the beginning, the good, the bad and the ugly; all the moments that made us who we are today. She’s loved us fiercely, keeps us laughing, and filled our days with joy. And is best big sister to our sweet boy. She is forever our first baby.

Raymond and Lake met at NSU freshman year and have been inseparable ever since (with the important exception that they cannot live together). Raymond had the privilege of being Lake’s best man when he married his amazing wife, Hope. Life with Lake guarantees nonstop laughs, questionable decisions, and knowing someone always has your back.

To know Hope is to have someone who shows up every time, without question. As the better half of Lake Flanary (the best man), she has been woven into our relationship since the very beginning. From living just minutes away in the same apartment complex to cheering us on through some of life’s biggest changes, Hope has been a constant presence, and we are so grateful for her.

Raymond and Cameron have been friends since high school and have been through just about everything together. From all the ups and downs to the big milestones, they’ve always been there for each other. One of those moments was Raymond standing as best man at Cameron’s wedding, where Cameron married his wonderful wife, Addison. Their friendship has only continued to grow.
Alyssa McDowell

Ever since middle school, when Alysssa and I became friends, we’ve been inseparable. We are basically the same person (just I the extrovert and Alyssa the introvert). She knows me better than I knows herself and called me “Mrs. Johnna Kitchens” before it was official. I’m so grateful for our friendship, and I’m even more grateful to have her stand beside me as Raymond and I celebrate this next chapter!
Alejandro Rodriguez

Alejandro and Raymond first met while working together at Dick’s Sporting Goods, and quickly formed their friendship. Outside of work, they’ve been there for each other through growth, change, and finding the people they love most. We’re so grateful to have Alejandro and Maddie celebrating with us and can’t wait to watch their love continue to grow in engagement and marriage.
Kylee Bargas

Kylee and I met in middle school and have remained best friends ever since. During that time we have shared many inside jokes and a mutual love for gossip. She is also the talented photographer responsible for all of Raymond and I’s beautiful engagement and family photos. Kylee will be getting married this December, to which we are so excited to celebrate her just as she has always celebrated us.

Raymond met Cade shortly after starting at Apmex, which their friendship was instant. They are the best example of when work friends turn into real-life, outside-of-work friends. We are both so thankful not only for Cade’s friendship, but also for his wonderful wife, Brooklyn. We’re incredibly grateful to have them in our lives—and for the honeymoon recommendations, too!

Raymond met Jessica through work, where a friendship quickly formed. Shortly after, I had the privilege of meeting Jessica and immediately recognized her as someone who would remain an important part of their lives for years to come. To know Jessica is to appreciate her warmth, sense of humor, and the love she shares. Especially with her weenie, Woody, who has become dear to us. Even with distance between, we have been honored to call her a lasting friend.

Through every season, Cole has been a constant; showing up with loyalty, laughter, and unwavering support. One thing about Cole is that he keeps both Raymond and I young! He is full of so much energy, humor, and, most importantly, support for both of us. We are so grateful to have him standing by our side!

A friendship with Paige is just easy. We can go months without a single text and pick up right where we left off like no time has passed. She carries such kindness and genuine care in all she does and I’ve been lucky to experience that throughout our entire friendship. I’m so thankful for her love and support not only in my own life, but in my relationship as well.
