Let me start by saying thank you. Thank you all for investing your time into reading our not so traditional love story. ❤️ In a day and age where romance and first dates are becoming more obtainable on the internet or in an app rather than in person, it was nice to have that experience. That feeling that a lot of us may remember from dating in our childhood. That feeling that got us hooked on looking to be hooked. That random guttural butterfly, explosive heart feeling. The "meet someone face to face and stumble on your words so hard that all you can manage to get out is a head nod before awkwardly walking away" feeling. Most importantly, the "yep, that's the one" feeling. It all started with a job interview. I had nervously arrived at the car dealership. I really needed the job that I was applying for and I was really hoping I didn't freeze up before speaking with the department manager. However, it went well and he offered to show me around. As we walked down the line of car lifts in the shop, he introduced the technicians one by one and talked more about the position I would be stepping into. I looked down the line, taking it all in, the smells of exhaust and oil, the sharp pings and pangs of metal on metal and loud thuds of rubber tires hitting the floor. Then I saw it,.. black and gray shades, thick bold lines and a few accents of red. I could tell from where I was standing, that guy has an awesome tattoo sleeve! 😅 *thinking to myself*: that's a really cool peice. He's tall,.. i can't see his face though,.. hes in pretty good shape... woah woah wait a minute sasha..you're not here for this, pump the brakes cause you NEED this job.. not a boyfriend! .... We get to the mystery man's lift, and the manager asks him to step out from under the car to introduce me. My curious mind finally gets to see his face.. and *oh no* 🤦🏽♀️ I knew that was the end of trying to not care 😅 my mind fills with questions and thoughts (none of which pertained to the job) *oh shoot! I'm still on the interview! dang it Sasha, focus!* I tuned back into what the manager was saying, got the job, and started a week later,.. promising myself to stay far far away from the trouble that would come with tattoo guy over there. 😏😅 Okay so we all know that didn't happen. We exchanged numbers, and would talk for hours on end and all night at times. Took trips to the boardwalk, and walks at double trouble park. One day I was welcomed into the basement... now when a guy asks you to come down to the basement it's usually a red flag 😂 in this case however it was just the room he was renting in his friend's house. I had been invited over to meet them. And that is how our D&D story began. I loved hearing the adventures his character would experience and wanted to play too. Thankfully the group invited me in and it was also a great way to spend time together bonding and doing something we both enjoy.... We would go on numerous adventures together, traveling to exotic lands, and defeating powerful evils! All from the comfort of the basement! 😂 We learned so much about each other and bonded with some incredible people. ❤️ Unfortunately it was short lived because... Pandemics happen. 😑 Ray and I decided to rent our first apartment together and buckle down for quarantine. Although it was a stressful and scary time, It was really nice to be bored together and gave us a chance to really spend some quality time. We have been moving forward ever since. Job changes, intermingling friends, family bonding with Jade, baby Jaspers arrival, and WEDDING PLANS! 😁 I'm so thankful for our little family, and even though it may not be the most traditional, I love our dynamic so much and can't wait to see what else comes our way!
