We first met (very briefly) in Pensacola, FL while both attending Air Traffic Control A-School in the Navy. I just got orders to Key West and heard that he also did, so I approached him and told him that we were headed to the same duty station and he TOTALLY blew me off. Fast forward 2 weeks and he showed up in Key West ready to be best friends!

I was told that the flying club at our airport wanted to do a "women in aviation" photoshoot so I got all dressed up and headed over. As soon as I got there I knew something was up because I was the only one there. A minute later he walks out from behind an airplane and I knew he had planned it all. Everyone was in on it! Our manager, my brother, my sister, AND our kids!
