The three of them moved to Chicago together so Lena and Jordan could pursue their master's program at Northwestern. The three of them have always enjoyed talking politics, sports, and music (namely that of Taylor Swift and Katy Perry).

She and Jordan have continued to work together at the Houston Chronicle and have become great friends.
