We feel incredibly blessed to have our love story sparked by the thoughtful efforts of our amazing siblings. In 2020, during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, we both found ourselves stuck at home, searching for love. Our siblings, Neha and Aahan, who have been close friends since high school, often mentioned how well they thought we would get along. Trusting their judgment, we decided to start talking as friends. It didn’t take long for us to realize that what we had was something special. About a month into our friendship, we both independently signed up for "Cake Meets Sherbet," an Ismaili dating platform launched during the pandemic, without telling each other. A week later, we discovered that out of all the Ismailis in North America, we were matched by the algorithm as the most compatible. It felt like the sign we both needed to confirm that we were meant to be. Looking back 5 years later, we truly believe everything fell into place perfectly – with quarantine allowing us to be just 30 minutes apart, being matched among all Ismailis in North America, and our siblings being such close friends. The stars really did align for us to find each other.
