We are getting married

Our story begins in 2018 when we met each other through social media and connected through common interests such as HBCU's, traveling, and supporting black-owned businesses. After several months of FaceTiming and talking on the phone, we went on our first date, Oeste in Oakland, CA. We connected most through our discussions surrounding the difficulties of dating at 30, commonalities, and a shared interest in a new cocktail that I suggested to Raydiance, an Old Fashioned. From there we bonded together, with all-day texts, great conversation, and adventurous trips with each other.

April 25, 2021: Christopher planned out a surprised engagement party for Raydiance at San Joaquin Winery in Madera, CA. He planned this event for two weeks in secrecy, with the help of Raydiance's friends and Raydiance's mother Sonja. The scheme was to get Ray to the winery for a surprise engagement party. We planned to have her mom take her out for a Mother Day breakfast and photoshoot. After the photoshoot, around 12:20pm, Ray walked into the surprised crowd full of family and friends, where she saw an illuminated sign on the ground that read "MARRY ME." From there Christopher began to walk towards her, gave her a deep embrance before dropping to this knee and asking Raydiance "will you marry me?" Of course, her answer was "YES!!!" which brings us here today! We are extremely excited to be celebrating and starting our new chapter with you! WE HOPE TO SEE YOU IN CANCUN!!!
