Ordained By Heaven

In November 2023, just 1 year after God called Sally to leave New Jersey to move to Dallas she was hired to photograph a Christian mixer for a friend at her church. The evening was vibrant and full of energy, but one person stood out—a tall, handsome guy Sally noticed across the room but never got the chance to meet. Unbeknownst to her, that same guy, Ray, an Ohio native whom God had also called to move to Dallas just 3 months prior from Los Angeles, had noticed her too. The mixer was a last-minute invitation for Ray, but little did he know God had something bigger in store. Two weeks later, Sally received a DM on Instagram from Ray who introduced himself, sharing that he had seen her at the mixer and felt captivated by her. Ray explained how he had prayed about the best way to approach one of God’s daughters and received the green light to reach out. Humbly and intentionally, Ray expressed his desire to get to know Sally and learn more about what God was doing in her life. Impressed by Ray’s authenticity and spirit led request, Sally quickly obliged. Their first date lasted 7 hrs where they genuinely enjoyed eachother’s company, learning their favorite things, and sharing what God was doing in their lives. As if the date couldn’t get any better, Ray surprised Sally with a Monica Wright jersey from Love and Basketball, which, if you know, YOU KNOW! While Sally appreciated Ray’s intentionality and thoughtfulness, she knew the importance of surrendering it all to God. After the incredible date, she let Ray know she wanted to pray and fast about this new connection to ensure it aligned with God’s will. For ten days, Sally sought clarity and confirmation in prayer, while Ray did the same unbeknownst to her. It was in that time that God affirmed to Sally that Ray was her future husband. Sally reached back out to Ray to let him know she’d love to continue getting to know him without sharing the full extent of what she heard from God. Their second date was spent just days later in church on New Year’s Eve 2023, worshiping and stepping into the new year side by side. From that moment on, the two were inseparable. Ray, with unwavering faith and conviction, just weeks later asked to intentionally court Sally, knowing deep in his spirit that she was his wife to be. Their courtship was unlike anything either had experienced before, centered on love, prayer, fasting, and seeking God’s wisdom every step of the way. Seven months later, Ray got down on one knee and asked Sally to spend forever with him and without a 2nd guess she said Yes! Their love story is authored by God Himself, a testament to His goodness, grace, and faithfulness.
