Ray and Brittany met online via OkCupid. After talking for a few weeks, Ray FINALLY asked for her number in what he swears was the most clever way ever, "On a scale of 0 to 999-999-999 how good are your kickball skills?" (You judge on the scale of the cleverness). For whatever reason, Brittany decided to meet this goofball Ray, and they met for drinks at Rowhouse bar in Federal Hill. They bonded over their separate times living in Fed Hill and their "quick drink" turned into hours of talking and smiling. Even though Brittany was incredibly paranoid, she allowed Ray to drive her home (though didn't tell him which door was her apartment :P). Turned out that was an excellent idea since someone got mugged that same night only a block away. So of course she was on the fast track to falling for Ray the Chivalrous. They spent many more weeks dating and then went to the Price is Right Live. They had ubered there, and of course Brittany managed to leave her phone in the uber cue absolute horror and calamity. It was Ray's calm head and handling of the situation with uber customer service in which he claimed Brittany as "his girlfriend," and getting her phone back that turned the night completely around as new official boyfriend and girlfriend status. They continued dating all the while with Brittany doing trips to Philly, Seattle, and then a trip to India and Nepal. When she got back, Ray HAD to tell her how he felt and Ray professed his love for Brittany. Unfortunately, only a month later Ray lost his father. It was to be the worst year for them, but it was also the year which Brittany grew to cherish just how much support and love Ray had for her. They have grown stronger together despite their losses, and even survived this pandemic. On July 3rd, 2020, Ray planned a picnic in Federal Hill park and asked Brittany to marry him <3. They look forward to going from Rowhouse to Spouse on their 4th anniversary weekend!
