Perfect way to spend a day with any littles. Super close to our home so you can pop in before or after any events.
Lake Merritt
Spend time in the neighborhood where we lived for the past ten years! Lots of shops and very walkable. The lake in 3.5 miles around and takes about an hour to walk around the entire lake. Stroller and dog friendly. Have a picnic or pop into the many restaurants and cafes around the lake.
Heinold's First and Last Chance Saloon
Visit the neighborhood where we had our first date! This is the oldest bar in Oakland and where author Jack London spent his time. Many restaurants and bars in this neighborhood to visit too. We love the Salty Pearl Oyster Bar! Or Merchants Saloon is a dive bar is your kind of thing!
Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park
Go see Oakland's beautiful Redwoods. A great place for a hike or a run, explore the local nature and see some spectacular bay views.
