Buellton
Very close to the hotel, head over to Enjoy Bagels and Sweets and Pony Espresso for a killer breakfast + SY Kitchen and Industrial Eats for lunch or dinner. And if you're feeling wild, hit up Chumash Casino.
Los Olivos
Head to downtown to Los Olivos for a day of outdoor wine tasting and artisanal food. Grand Ave. is a walkable, charming strip to visit for a one-stop wine country experience in the heart of town. Be sure to pop by Mattei's Tavern for coffee or a drink and visit our friends at Saarloos and Son's Winery! Solvang
Solvang authentic Danish pastries, old-world European architecture, breweries, cafes, wine tasting rooms, and a variety of charming boutiques and shops. The best way to see Solvang is via the Moke Experience and pop by Mad & Vin at The Landsby Hotel for Brunch or Dinner.
Los Alamos
Cute little town about 20 minutes from Buellton. The main center of town has lots of wineries (The Makers Son), restaurants (Bells), bakeries (Bob's Well Bread), antique shops (Sisters), and unique things to see (1880 Union Hotel, Elder Flats.)
Santa Barbara
For those who would like to travel to Santa Barbara for the day (our fave!) we'd suggest checking out the local beaches (Butterfly is our fave), State Street and the Funk Zone.
Wineries & Breweries
If you have rented a car and would like to be more adventurous, here are some fun spots in the area. Reservations in advance are recommended and often required. Presqu’ile Out in Santa Maria, you’ll find a beautiful modern estate surrounded by acres of trim vineyards, offering tastings & picnics on the grounds. Crown Point Vineyards Best red wine we've had in awhile. On the pricier side, but worth it! Fat, full-glass pours and white glove experience. Also super cool to see all of the horses at Tommy Town Thoroughbred as you're driving in and out. Folded Hills Winery At Folded Hills they have donkeys, mini horses, a camel named George, a zebra named Zazu, and Budweiser Clydesdales. Firestone Walker Brewing Company A microbrewery - taproom and eatery very close to the Marriott.
Vino Vaqueros Horseback Riding
One of our favorite things to do in the SY Valley - enjoy a private, guided horseback riding and wine tasting tour through Estelle Ranch and Vineyard in Santa Ynez. Vino Vaqueros is so special, family-owned and operated.
