The story starts with the couple meeting briefly in November of 2022. However, the story started way before that. God's timing is always perfect, so it wasn't really a coincidence that Ray's mom and Jasmine's parents both decided to get a cafecito cubano on the same day shortly after both moving to Florida in 2021. They became friends fast, and Jasmine entered the picture later when she met Leida (future mother in law). What followed was many missed opportunities for the couple to meet. After some time, the main encounter took place at Melany's quinceneara (sister & maid of honor) in early 2023. Ray and Jasmine set eyes on each other and with a little encouragement from Jasmine's cousins Roque and Brianna, the couple spent the night laughing and dancing (Ray doesn't like to dance). There is even a rumor that Jasmine may have said "I met the love of my life" that night. The couple started to date soon after and have been inseparable ever since.
