Ravnit and Nicaulis first crossed paths on April 30th, 2021, when Nicaulis was an ICU nurse at St. Mary's and Ravnit had just begun his medical residency. Despite their initial meeting taking place during a stressful situation, they found working together to be enjoyable, although there were no romantic feelings between them at that time. After a period of not seeing each other, fate brought them back together when Ravnit returned to the ICU. A fellow nurse saw a potential connection between them and decided to play matchmaker. On Ravnit's last day of rotation in the ICU, they exchanged numbers. A few days later, a group dinner was planned, but only they showed up, sharing good food and laughter in each other's company. As the holiday season approached, they continued to keep in touch, exchanging texts for Christmas and New Year's. In the middle of January, on a cold and snowy night, Nicaulis invited Ravnit to a friend's dinner at her house, where they enjoyed a meal featuring the traditional dish Sancocho. Despite Nicaulis's initial uncertainty about Ravnit's attendance, she invited him to join her and her friends. Much to her delight, she soon received a text from him saying, "I'm outside," marking the beginning of a new chapter in their relationship.
