Chris and I started working for the same employer on the same date many years ago. We both had different lives then and had no idea what happiness and love awaited us with each other. Over time both of our lives changed and what was meant to be finally was. Chris and I were best friends turned lovers. I could not ask for a better match than this man. I knew very early he would forever be my always.

Weekly Chris and I would play trivia at a local bar - before and after we found out little Cora T. was on her way. They were doing a quarterly prize for a weekend away in Hocking Hills. Chris and I’s “first date” was a happy hour followed by trivia and we’d been inseparable ever since. We booked our free weekend for after Cora got here so we could take a family trip. We arrived on a Friday night (kinda late as usual, sorry Chris) and I went to take a shower with a glass of wine to relax. When I came back out to the living area Chris was holding Cora in a different pink onesie than she was in when I had left. I asked why she was dressed different. Chris then smiled and approached me getting down on one knee as Cora beamed her big gummy smile at me. Her onesie said, “Mommy will you marry my daddy?” Chris said that it had all started at trivia and when we won this trip he couldn’t think of a better time to ask me the hardest question of all... “Will you marry me?” By this time I was laughing and crying and smiling at how cute Cora was. He opened the ring box and I kissed him as he was standing up and I exclaimed, “YES!” Chris also had champagne for us to celebrate (that we saved for when we got home) and a onesie for Cora that said “Mommy said yes!”
