We’re getting married!

We met almost 12 years ago in high school. We started off as good friends and as we grew closer we fell for each other. When we finally decided to date we thought it would be too late with Khalid being in his senior year. Fast forward 11 years later-still standing strong. We’ve had 11 years worth of laughs, fun, friendship,support, growth and love.

For labor day, we planned a weekend trip to New Orleans, Louisiana. We had been out and about all day walking and touring the streets of Bourbon and Canal. Later that night we went to a bar to watch the L.S.U. v. Miami game. To my surprise Khalid had the engagement ring with him while we watched the game and when we got back to our hotel Khalid proposed in the hotel lobby. It was the sweetest surprise I could ask for.
