This is US

Our love story began in an unexpected place, through a mutual friend at the Salvation Army. Manwell was working as a security guard, and I was a client. What started as a simple introduction slowly turned into something neither of us could have imagined. From the very beginning, there was an ease between us that made us feel safe, understood, and seen. In just six months, our connection grew deeper than we ever thought possible. Manwell brought my smile back during a time when I truly needed it, and together we learned how to communicate openly and honestly with one another. Our relationship has always been rooted in understanding, patience, and genuine care. Manwell proposed at the end of my celestial-themed graduation from Paul Mitchell, a moment already filled with pride, joy, and celebration. As if the day couldn’t get any more magical, he got down on one knee and asked me to spend forever with him. It was both a surprise and something my heart somehow already knew was coming. In true Manwell fashion, he even accidentally tried to put the ring on my right hand first, making the moment even more memorable and perfectly us. That day marked the beginning of our forever. We are so grateful for the love, growth, and happiness we’ve found in each other, and we can’t wait to continue this journey side by side, guided by faith and love. *“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”* — **1 Corinthians 13:4–7**
