Things to Know

Our wedding ceremony will take place at the Sikh Temple of Spokane. If you are joining us for the ceremony, you may have questions about what the day will look like and what is expected. Here are a few things to know:
1. Upon entering the temple, please cover your head. Women may use a scarf. Head coverings are available if needed.
2. Please take your shoes off when you enter the temple. There is a designated area for this.
3. The ceremony will take place upstairs, in the prayer hall where everyone sits on the ground. Men are seated to the right-hand side and women to the left-hand side. If you are unable to sit on the ground, there is seating in the back as well as downstairs where the ceremony can be watched on the TV.
4. When you enter the prayer hall, please bow as a gesture of respect.
5. At the end of the ceremony, you will receive prashad (a sweet treat), please accept with both hands.
Thank you for celebrating with us!
