Before our big day, we wanted to share important details with you: a minute-to-minute list of events, resources for COVID safety, introductions to our bridal party, and a peek into how you can help us furnish our home. But first, you're probably wondering how we got here... It was 2010 and Myspace was still at mist, bangs and eyebrow piercings were still a thing, and online dating was definitely still a taboo. We went to the same High School but never interacted; even though there's a theory that Raul made it his mission to find that tall girl walking around school halls. Our story really started from a Myspace friend request. We spent everyday talking to each other, moving our conversations to Yahoo Messenger and later into video calls (just like our parents always warned us not to do). We were the best of friends online and after many flirtatious visits, we decided we were not relationship material and better suited as friends. As High School friendships go, we drifted apart and created lives on our own. We had our boys, Nolan and Leo, and went about our life. It wasn’t long before we fell victims of social media again, but this time it was on Facebook in January 2017. Like most modern-day relationships, we couldn’t figure out what we were but we were inseparable. We partied, laughed, we cried and fought. We were best friends, roommates, lovers, and enemies at times. After 2 years, our lives took a drastic turn – we were expecting! Our little Rubi changed our entire world around. Life still wasn’t perfect, in fact it was harder than ever, but we began to learn about one another through this tiny human. On May 10th, 2020 in the middle of a pandemic, Raul popped the question in our dinning room over the spread of fancy enchiladas. We’re here now, inviting you to celebrate another one of our life milestones, something we both never really imagined happening, but intrinsically knew would be destined from the moment that Myspace friend request was received.
