We met in 1990 at Webb Jr High in Tampa. Raul came fresh out of Da Bronx to Tampa. Leslie arrived to Tampa from Queens NY in 88'. We dated the full school year and at the end of the year Leslie moved to Miami FL. Raul continued on in Tampa Florida moving on to Leto High School. Leslie continued her education in Miami and married soon after. Four years after high school Leslie and Raul seen each other for the first time at the Tampa State Fair no words were exchanged just a glance and a smile of acknowledgment. Leslie was with her then new husband and Raul with his future baby mama. One year after that in 95 Leslie and Raul each had their first born child, Leslie had Jonathan and Raul had Elias. Two years later they happen to run into each other right around Webb Junior High. They spoke for about three hours about everything that had been going on in their lives including their first child. They didn't speak long and parted ways. One year later in 98 Leslie and Raul both had their second born, Leslie had Joshua and Raul had Kamani. Fast forward to 2014, Leslie has been divorced for two & a half years and she asked her youngest son Joshua if she wanted to get in touch with someone that she hadn’t seen in years, how would she go about it? Joshua told her Facebook.. and he asked if she wanted him to make a page for her. Once she agreed and learned how to use Facebook she sent Raul a friend request. Raul replied to that friend request within 30 minutes and within two hours they were talking on the phone into the night. Leslie and Raul then made plans to meet the very next day 11.30.14 (5 years ago TODAY) and have been together ever since.

Proposal After being together for two years Leslie and Raul decided to take a trip to Louisiana. They invited their four boys Elias, Jonathan, Joshua and Kamani. Kamani was the only one who did not make it to this trip (we're all still mad at him). Raul’s brother Marco and his better half Helene made it out to meet us in New Orleans. On Marco and Helene’s last day in New Orleans (Leslie‘s birthday April 23, 2016). Raul spoke with Joshua and pulled him aside to ask him how he would feel about him asking Leslie to marry him? Joshua asked if Raul had spoken to Jonathan about it? Raul replied; No, that he was the next one he would speak to. Joshua called Jonathan over and Raul asked them both and Joshua replied how does Mom feel about that and if we had spoken about it. Raul replied that yes they had spoken about it and Leslie was all in for it. So they said if their mother was fine that they were fine with it. So then Raul called Leslie‘s mother and asked her, for her blessing. Carmen then ask the same question that Joshua did on How does Leslie feel about the whole thing? And once Carmen knew that we had spoken about it and Les was fine with it she was happy and gave her a blessing along with Jose. Here's is when it gets exciting LOL Raul then ask Marco to have Helene take Leslie to one of the shops and bring her back after they are done shopping. During that time Raul spoke to one of the street performers and let him know what he had planned. Once Leslie and Helene got back the street performer begins his show he gathers a crowd of about 100 people and begins his show. On his third set for the show he asked for a volunteer from the crowd and pulls Leslie and then he says he needs another volunteer and he pulls Raul in. Once The performer puts the microphone headset on Raul, he backs off. Raul then gets on one knee and proposes to Leslie and she ACCEPTS!
