Balboa Park is a must-do if staying in central San Diego. It is a 1,200-acre urban cultural park home to 17 museums, beautiful gardens, amazing restaurants, the world-famous San Diego Zoo. Note: We went to the Prado restaurant here for our first "real" date!
The San Diego Zoo is a world-renowned wildlife park home to thousands of rare and endangered animals. The zoo covers 100 acres and is known for its open-air exhibits that recreate natural habitats. Also, pandas are back!
Check out the calendar to see what Padres games and concerts are happening while you're here!
This upscale rooftop bar is where Kaelyn first put the moves on Raul (plus, they have our favorite Old Fashioned).
A beautiful beach with fire pits, vendors, tons of incredible restaurants, and more! Also home to the historical Belmont Park amusement park. We like to the boardwalk for morning walks on the beach or a sunset dinner.
Leopard sharks will likely be in the water at this time for mating season! Take a canoe out and swim/snorkel with the leopard sharks. Also, walk down to the famous Scripps Peir or the famed Black's Beach (PSA: Black's Beach is clothing optional if you're into that)
This is our favorite hike with beautiful views! We also took our engagement photos here.
We love spending time together with regular date nights and have explored all San Diego has to offer. From dining to entertainment, we would be happy to share any recommendations we have for your area. Contact us directly if you would like ideas!
