One of our favorite stops on our cross-country roadtrip. See photo evidence above!
This is a world-renowned art museum and a must-see. There's a particularly amazing collection of Egyptian art. Just go and walk around for a bit!
Who doesn't love dinosaurs?
This is the oldest operating market in the city, and it's directly across the street from Truss. Grab an apple fritter while you're there!
Just don't shoot your eye out.
It would be a miss if you didn't spend some time on Lake Erie. Edgewater Park is a great public beach close to downtown. Hang on the sand or head over to Whiskey Island for drinks, fried food and live music.
So you didn't know that Ohio had a national park? You're in for a treat. Head on down to Peninsula and go for a walk on the old Erie Canal towpath or hike up to the Ledges and see some really big rocks.
Great Lakes is the OG of the Cleveland craft brewing scene (which is extensive now). The brewpub is a great place for sausage and pierogi. Some personal favorite beers are Burning River and Elliot Ness.
Heinen's is a local northeast Ohio grocery chain, but it so much more than that. You want Amish bacon? How about a sampler of Ohio craft beer? They have it all. This is Heinen's flagship downtown store, housed inside the historic Cleveland Trust rotunda. It's the most beautiful grocery store you'll ever see, and it's just down the street from the Kimpton if you're staying there.
It's hard to find a classic drive-in burger joint like this anymore. Menu highlights: The Galley Boy, potato teezers, milkshakes. There are locations all over NE Ohio. Best part is you don't even need to get up -- they literally run out to your car to take and deliver your order.
