FAQs

Question

Are children allowed at the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Yes, absolutely! This is a celebration for the entire family - littles included! If you are bringing your children, please include their name(s) when you RSVP.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Our ceremony will be on the sand, followed by an indoor reception, so think “dressy, but comfortable”—a couple steps above casual, but not as formal as black tie. This may include sundresses (long or short), jumpsuits, polos, button-downs, khakis, or a breezy dress shirt. Suits and ties aren’t required, but if you love dressing up, go for it! Since we’ll be on the beach, choose shoes you won’t mind in the sand—sandals, wedges, flip flops or flats are perfect. Lightweight fabrics (linen, cotton) will keep you comfortable in the Florida sun. We just want everyone to look good and feel comfortable —this is only meant as a guide if you’re wondering what to wear.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

See the "Travel" section of our website - we've included several hotel and vacation rental options there.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

This is information from Shephard's website regarding parking: "All resort parking is valet only and is complimentary for guests staying overnight in the hotel, one car per room. See the front desk or valet for second vehicle pricing. Please inform the Valet staff if you intend to depart before 7 am. All guests are required to use our valet service. Self-parking is not available. Limited street parking is available on Bayway Blvd., the next street over." For those not staying at Shephard's overnight, you will still receive complimentary valet parking as a guest of our wedding.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony begins promptly at 5:00pm, so we ask that you arrive and be seated at the beachfront ceremony between 4:30-4:45pm.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP right here on our website no later than March 15, 2026. We are required to provide Shephard's with a final guest count on that date, so if we do not hear from you by then, we will unfortunately have to mark you down as "not attending."

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, please let us know when you RSVP so we can coordinate with Shephard's and make sure any food allergies are communicated to them before the wedding.
