Thank you, Yoshi! Rashelle & Yoshi were co-workers in Portland. Brian & Yoshi grew up in Coos County together. Each consider him a dear friend! B & R officially met in February of 2015 when Yoshi invited Rashelle to a Winterhawk's Hockey Game when they both lived in Portland. A group from The Coos goes every year, Brian was there, & Yoshi had an extra ticket. Brian & Rashelle each had other things going on at the time, but were introduced. December of 2015 Yoshi brought Brian as his "Plus 1" to Rashelle and Yoshi's company Christmas Party. The two got to hangout some more. Come February 2016, almost exactly a year after that initial introduction, the stars finally aligned. Yoshi texted Rashelle one work morning asking if she was still single. She thought he was asking for himself, haha, regardless, she simply replied, "Yes, lol, why?". He mentioned that Brian was renting a cabin in Sunriver for the weekend & inviting a bunch of friends, then put the two in contact. Rashelle was unsure whether or not she would make the venture until the day of. She had other things going on that Saturday, then by evening, had made the spontaneous decision to go ahead & make the unknown adventure. It was dark, 4+ hours away, & snowing by the time she made it to the mountain. Quite nervous in her little Mazda3 & not having much snow-driving experience, she attempted to call Yoshi to inform him of her wariness & that she will likely turn around, but he didn't answer. The only other person she "knew" was Brian. She calls him purely panicked. He answers right away. Instantly, with his calmness, words, & reassurance, he made her feel safe, comfortable, & like she could tackle anything in the world, let alone this small snowstorm. She journeyed on & arrived at a cabin full of drunkos. She wasn't deterred. Brian was a true gentleman the whole time. Even though they had to share a bed. The next morning is Valentine's Day & he brings her breakfast in bed. The rest is history! True love! ;)
