Robbie and I met during track season of our sophomore and senior year of high school. I first noticed him at practice, and tried getting his attention on multiple occasions until he finally took the hint. One of my friends had told his best friend about me and we went on our first date. He asked me to be his girlfriend a couple weeks after getting to know each other and here we are, six years later. We made it through two years of being in both high school and college, one year of being in college together, and three years of long distance as I attended The Ohio State University and he worked at Southern Ohio Medical Center. On June 6, 2017, he asked me to marry him. We were on Sandbridge Beach in Virginia taking family photos when he got down on one knee. All of his clues leading up to the proposal finally made sense and I couldn’t have been more happily surprised. Every time I look down at my beautiful ring, I remember that moment so clearly. “Nothing is impossible with God,” is a belief we’ve both held onto throughout our relationship and will continue to as we take on a new city together for I will be attending graduate school at Marshall University. We look forward to spending the rest of our lives together and celebrating with our family and friends who have supported us over the years!
