Our Story
He often visited the library, and one day he noticed her behind the desk. After praying for days about what God placed in his heart, he found himself sitting at the table in front of her. She saw an opportunity and handed him a small drawing of a kiwi bird “so you don’t miss home.” Wanting to give something back, he offered her a coin from New Zealand with a kiwi on it. They talked for what felt like hours, and he left knowing he needed God’s answer.
Two weeks later, before entering the library, he prayed, “Lord, if You want me to ask her out, let her be working today.” He turned the corner—and there she was. He knew instantly she was the one. On September 26, 2024, he asked her to go on a walk, a simple walk that opened the door to a future together.
Two international students—one from Mexico and one from New Zealand—found God’s will in each other by following God’s will for their own lives.
