We met in college during a production sound class. After class I was talking with a friend who happened to be his friend too. So he came over and joined the conversation. I was eating hot fries and he asked for some. I said "sure" and handed him the bag. He tried to grab it but it slipped out of his hand and the hot fries went everywhere. They were on the desk and the ground and the bag was completely empty when I picked it back up. From that day on we hung out after class with our mutual friends almost every day that semester. It slowly became clear that we had a connection that went further than friendship.

We went on vacation during the summer of 2023 to Ruidoso, which over our relationship had become our go to spot. This time we had several days planned with fun activities. We got a couples message, drove around to find the wild horses, spent time at the lake, went to the casino, and recreated the photos from the first time we went to Ruidoso together. While at the lake, Kevin suggest we get on the paddle boats, which was shocking because he is terrified of big bodies of water. After making it clear that he was serious we got our tickets and went to the dock. He was so nervous the entire time, but never backed out. We got on the boat and started paddling. We paddled to the middle of the lake. I turned to look at him and he had the ring box in his hand, and that's when he asked me to spend forever with him. ~ We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
