The Kimpton Goodland is the hub of weekend activity - the Wedding party location, shuttles to the Wedding ceremony and reception, and Wedding after party. There are also several near-by hotels: Motel 6 (directly across the street), Best Western (directly across the street), Ramada and Hampton Inn.
Flight
We know your trip to Southern California may include visiting other locations and/or renting cars. Please keep the following information in mind as you make your plans: LAX is approximately 105 miles from The Kimpton Goodland in Goleta. This is 1 hour 40 minutes without traffic, and up to 3 hours with traffic. Renting a car is the easiest and fastest way up North. Santa Barbara Airport is 2 miles from The Kimpton Goodland in Goleta. If you are only attending the wedding and are able to arrange travel to this airport, you can use taxis, Uber or Lyft for transportation in lieu of renting a car, should you desire.
Hotel
For those looking for a low cost option that is super fun, we reserved our wedding venue onsite camping area! The site is reserved for Friday and Saturday for $50/person/night. Train
Connecting San Luis Obispo and San Diego through Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, the Pacific Surfliner route offers a unique vantage on the Southern California seascape. To get a closer look, you'd have to be on a surfboard, which, believe it or not, you're welcome to bring onboard, since Pacific Surfliner trains have special racks to accommodate the bikes and boards of our more outdoor-minded riders.

Santa Barbara Airbus makes 16 trips daily between Los Angeles International Airport with stops in Goleta, Carpinteria and Santa Barbara. The first bus departs Santa Barbara at 3:50 am to arrive at the Airport by 6:00 am. Our last pickup from LAX is at 10:00 pm. The Airbus operates the same schedule everyday and is open every day of the year except Christmas and Thanksgiving. Click here for our LAX shuttle schedule.
