That's how I felt when I saw Raquel for the first time. We had our first conversation at a party . That night I had no problem dancing and talking to people but when I saw Raquel I got nervous because I knew who she was and heard her sing but never had talked to her. I froze when she approached me and had to remember my name when she introduced herself to me. She then said "next time just say hi :)" I nodded my head and smiled. I was in daze and my heart felt like it was coming out of my chest. After she walked away to enjoy the party I wanted to ask her to dance but I didn't have the courage to ask. After that missed opportunity I begged my friend Jerry to invite her places so I can have a second chance.

It was a Saturday after meeting when my sister Dessie said she wanted to go the beach to see a meteor shower with my family. I remember being rushed to leave because we wanted to get there before it got too dark to get an area for us there. I was planning on going in sweats but my sister quickly stopped me and said I had to change because she wanted to take nice pictures. She let me wear a fancy jacket of hers and that was my first inkling that something was going on. We left with no time to do hair or makeup so I did it on the way there since my sister said to look nice for the pictures. As we got there we went to the beach to take pictures but it was the windiest day I have ever experienced and went to the car and complained how cold I was. I texted Daniel asking if he was going to join us but he sent me a text saying he was 30 minutes away from his house and took picture that looked like he was still working. I was sad but still tried to enjoy myself. We all got out again to walk up point dume in Malibu. As we walked by I noticed a mustang and license plate that I could have sworn was Daniels but I walked along uncertain because in my head he was working. We reached the top and that's the time I saw Daniel in a suit right by the cliff with many lights around him. With the sunset and waves perfectly in view. I was in total shock as he reached his hand toward mine. Seeing my friends and family on the side made things even more surreal. I soaked the moment in and couldn't wait to say YES!
