We were set up by two friends of ours but the initial contact via phone and text messaging started back in January 2015 was not successful. Meaning we never talked to one another at all. The date above is the official, "no joke", the date we ran right into one another at a Crawfish Festival. Our first date was on April 4, 2015 at the Getaway. We never stopped laughing and talking the entire night. From that day forward we continued to enjoy concerts, traveling, and any other adventures we could find. I knew that I had found my match.
It was the day before Gasparilla (Raquel's favorite holiday of the year). We went to Ulele for dinner. It was a crazy time there because the NHL Allstar game was also in town. Raquel had worked late that night and was super tired. When we left Ulele, I asked her to go for a walk on the Riverwalk. She was hesitant, but the trooper she is, she went along with it. We walked down the Riverwalk to the flag pole where it was a little more quiet and away from people. Bill tried to get down on one knee but heard a pop. He asked me to be his wife and in shock a "YES" came out. We can't wait to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with all of you!
