If you are traveling to Boston with a little extra time or looking for something fun to do before the ceremony on Saturday or Friday here are a couple suggestions. You will also find some of our favorite places to eat and drink on here as well. We’ll be adding more as they pop up.

Modern Pastry - Grab Yourself a Treat!

There is a lot of Debate over what’s better Mike or Modern in the North End. We are a strict Modern Pastry household. So while you’re in town do youself a favor and grab one of your favorite treats form Modern.

If you enjoy Paella or traditional Spanish Tapas Toro is your place. Owned by James Beard Awarad Winning Chef Ken Oringer. There is also always a line and they don’t take reservations but the food, drinks and service are all worth it.

Fenway Park

The Red Sox happen to be home when we’re getting married. If you are coming early or staying after and wanted to catch a game you could. Otherwise there’s always a lot going on in the Fenway area when the Sox are in town. It’s also just a fun place to check out.

Freedom Trail

If you’re big into history you can walk some or all of the Freedom Trail. It will give you insight to some of the oldest places still standing in Boston.

Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum

Very close to the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston one of the lesser visited but very interesting museums. Home to one of the most famous art heists of all time.

Charles River Esplanade

If you like to take a quiet stroll the Charles River Esplanade is a great place to go for a walk of any distance.

We will be in the area on Friday night but it’s a fun place to head to early and walk around. Full of lots of little shops and snacks to munch on.

New England Aquarium

If you’re a fan of Aquariums; I know we are (We typically visit the aquarium in every city we travel too). New England has a great one. Lots of Penguins as well as local New England Sea life.
