Ashley and Eryn met at freshman orientation at their alma mater, UConn, and became roommates their very first year. Their bond only grew stronger beyond the best four years of their lives, and they've remained close ever since. Though Eryn now lives in Boston, distance has never gotten in the way—they always make time to catch up, visit, and stay connected. Eryn is the patient and supportive friend who once attempted to teach Ashley how to snowboard (with mixed results!) and is always the best listener, no matter the topic. From nights out in NYC to workout classes or simple lunch catch-ups, they cherish any time spent together.
Michaila Fuerst
Co-Matron of Honor
Ashley met Michaila at UConn and is forever grateful that their paths crossed. Michaila is the true definition of "work hard, play hard," and she never fails to bring out the fun in any situation. The two made unforgettable memories in Stamford—affectionately known as "Stamvegas"—where post-college nights out were a regular adventure. They may have left a few pieces of their hearts (and the occasional credit card) on the Brother Jimmy’s dance floor. These days, the fun continues at a slightly more low-key pace with Galentine’s parties and spontaneous trips to HomeGoods and TJ Maxx.
Drew Michals
Best Man
Drew and Connor first met at UMass Dartmouth and quickly became close friends. They were teammates on the hockey team and roommates at the infamous Potter Street. From late night laughs, to all time travel stories, they have shared it all. Now, as hockey coaches they continue to stay in touch swapping stories and talking recruiting. Drew is a constant teammate in life.
Carson Gamboe
Groomsman
Carson is Connor's younger brother. Growing up, they spent plenty of time wrestling and shared a love for hockey. Over the years their bond has grown from playful rough housing to a solid friendship. Connor loves visiting Carson in the awesome places like San Diego, Charleston, traveling to Hawaii and always sharing a lot of laughs and an ice cold beer.
Richard Rapice
Groomsman
Richard (aka RJ) is Ashley’s big brother—by exactly seven and a half years. He first met her on Christmas morning in 1994, when he had to pause unwrapping his presents to go meet his brand-new baby sister at the hospital. (We’re still not sure he’s completely forgiven her for the timing!) These days, RJ and Connor bond over sports and playing video games—often teaming up (or talking trash) online. As a family, we love hanging out all together, especially with our Westies (Wilson, Leo, Diego). We’re so happy to have RJ standing by our side on such a special day!
