Single Van and single Ran were running around without plans in Spring 2015. They both downloaded a dating app called Plenty of Fish. Yes, they are a walking, talking success story. Their first date is too funny not to share! So here it goes... Van messaged Ran on the dating app and said, "How bout I sweep you off your feet and move ya to Texas?" Apparently that's what Randi wanted because that's exactly what happened a year later! Randi agreed to meet Van at the West Town Mall in Madison, WI. Van told Randi that he drives a red Dodge. Naturally, Randi pulls up by the biggest, baddest red Dodge in the parking lot. No one was inside. Randi calls Van and asks where the heck he is. She looks over and sees Van sitting on the tailgate of a much smaller red Dodge. He's waving and she's laughing hysterically. Well, that was an awkward and bumpy start! Van says that he was sold the moment he saw Randi. Randi said she was sold the moment he started talking. In his southern twang, he asked where she wanted to go for dinner. Randi obviously replied with "SUSHI!" This was Van's first time trying sushi. Little did he know he was in for a lifetime of it! Over a few specialty rolls, glasses of wine and a Sprite ( Van) they spilled their lives to one another. They have been inseparable ever since. Over the years, Van and Ran have moved around A LOT. They are now settled down in Madison, WI in a townhome with their two puggles, Peaches and Pete. Van finally popped the question when Randi got back from a girls four wheeling trip on June 22nd, 2019. I guess Randi needs to go out of town more often! Van and Ran believe that they came into each other's lives at the most perfect time and for a reason. They cannot wait to spend their special day with all of you!
