The year was 2020. It was Covid. The world was shut down. With little to no in-person social interaction allowed, many people took to the internet to connect with others. We were no exception. While Emma was in Michigan for the summer, Emma and Tanner met online. While never meeting in person, we remained in touch after Emma went back to Arizona and throughout our senior year of high school. In March 2021, Emma moved to Michigan and stayed with her cousin for several months, who just so happened to live 10 minutes down the road from Tanner. They met for the first time (socially distanced) in her cousin's garage in April. On May 2, 2021, Tanner and Emma had their first official date at Buddy's Pizza, and the rest is history...
