Where is this shindig?

The big day will take place at River John’s Outfitters at the following address: 4134 Cave Mill Rd, Maryville, TN 37804 This venue is a kayak rental establishment and private campground conveniently located less than 10 miles from McGhee Tyson Airport for any of our traveling guests.

What’s the Dress Code?

Answer

We ask that our guests not come in their finest clothes as the entire day will take place outside at a creekside campground by a tucked in corner of the Little River. There are some muddy areas by the water, a gravel walkway and otherwise a few dips in the ground. Ladies, no need for heels and gentlemen can skip the ties and jackets. Plan for a comfortable evening starting in the upper 70’s. It’s going to be late summer in the south - humid and warm. Cotton is your friend.

When do we arrive / leave?

The space is booked from Friday 9/5/25 - Monday 9/8/25. The ceremony will take place at 6:00pm on Saturday 9/6/25 with guests welcome to start tricking in a little after 5:00pm. Please check out the “Schedule” tab for more exact timing details. The owners of the property, John and Christina, urge us to take advantage of the fact that they are indeed a private campground and guests are more than welcome to camp and stay the night on the island itself! Please consider bringing a change of clothes and camping gear if you would like to spend a night under the stars with us and camp from Saturday night into Sunday morning. We would love nothing more than to start the next chapter of our lives roasting marshmallows and listening to the frogs sing with our loved ones by the water.

Where do we park?

As you near the property, please follow the signage to pull into the main graveled lot and keep to the far left to find the path marked by white balloons into the designated parking area.

What is the bathroom situation?

Answer

There will bee a four-stall restroom trailer hooked up in the main parking lot of the venue owner’s home before the pull off into the designated parking area. There will be signage to guide guests off the island up to the more equipped restroom option.
